American Living Arrangements – How They’ve Evolved

Here is an interesting Infographic that shows how living arrangements have changed over time.  This depiction doesn’t address the renting or owning status of individuals, but it should give us a clue as to the types of housing that might be in current demand.

And . . .  while I realize it is dangerous to read too much into these things, it does appear that adults are becoming more solitary as a lifestyle choice.  Perhaps the personal disconnect offered by technology – mobile devices, Netflix, texting rather than talking, impersonal “friendships” on social media, etc. – is partially responsible for that.
