We are very pleased that the summer-like weather has lingered along the Southern Mid-Coast. Bath, a “Tree City USA,” is just now seeing the beginnings of the spectacular annual color display that is our last visual hurrah before colder days are here to stay. If you are in Bath this weekend, you can enjoy Autumn Fest and be sure to stop by Waterfront Park for Citizen Involvement Day! Despite the shortening days, the Bath real estate market logged a good number of pending sales in September (it must be our fantastic sunsets!) and Buyers continue to show up!
September ended with 109 Current Listings (down 5 from August), 25 Pending Sales (up 7 from August), and just 6 Closed Sales in September (down 10 from August). And we saw Average Sales Price to List Price Ratio pop back up to 98% in September, after a dip down to 95% in August.
OF NOTE in the Bath real estate market over the summer, was the roll-out of the Bath RiverWalk Residences, a 5-building luxury waterfront condominium project by JHR Development, LLC that will be built on the “coal pocket” property along the Kennebec River in downtown Bath. It should be noted that these condo units comprise 14 of the current listings in the September figures. The units, in Phase 1, are priced from $485,000 to $655,000, occupancy is planned for summer 2016.
