As we labor through our year-end house-keeping and organizing chores, the holidays already seem like such a long while ago. With the frigid temps of January enveloping our little corner of Maine, we take time to look back and see that Home Sales in Topsham dropped off a bit in the final month of 2014.

December ended with just 49 Current listings, down from 54 at the end of November, and right back at the same low level we started last January. The year ended with 13 Pending Sales (1 more than November) but only 5 Closed Sales in December (8 fewer than in November).

Average time on market dropped to 30 days in December, but Median Price went down. Sales Price to List Price ratio held steady at 95% in December.

Since mid-December, Maine Home Realty has responded to a flurry of inquiries from home owners interested in listing their homes for sale.  As we dream of warmer weather and the Spring Home Selling Season, this should bode well for Buyers who will have a wider selection of properties to view. Combined with continued low mortgage interest rates, this is a win-win.
