A Holiday Message

Happy Holidays

This time of year, for many, is a time of celebration, relaxation, exhaustion and rejuvenation – a time to wrap up the loose ends of 2013 and prepare for a fresh start in the New Year.  We reflect on where we’ve been and where we want to go; we take time to enjoy family and friends; we give; we receive.  We all want to be children again.  We all want to Believe

At Maine Home Realty, as a company, we do the same things.  We are fortunate to be wrapping up a number of December closings.  The holiday party season continues in full swing, so we are enjoying colleagues and clients and our families and friends.  We’re sending & receiving greeting cards, and donating to local charities to help those in need.  We’re wrapping and mailing gifts, and taking care of last minute details while trying to take care of ourselves, too.

We reflect on this year’s business – the wonderful people we’ve met, the clients we’ve served, our good lenders, title company representatives, and home inspectors, and the things we’ve learned and the people we’ve helped.  Some transactions went smoothly, others took every bit of knowledge, experience, persistence and creativity we possess!

We look forward to what our business might look like in 2014 – who do we know that may want to sell or want to buy; how do we connect with people we don’t even know yet who want to sell and buy homes next year?  We discuss company marketing plans, tweaking company policies, budgets and goals.  We talk about how to get from here to there – We believe we can find ways to improve in the coming year.  We can be better REALTORS®; we can be better people.

So, during this Season, when the inner child shines through in each of us, we realize the lessons we learned in childhood ring true in adulthood, and in our business –

  • Treat others as you would want them to treat you;
  • If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all;
  • Be yourself;
  • You can do anything you want if you put your mind to it;
  • Count your blessings and be grateful for what you have.

Our business is real estate, but at the heart of it all is people, and we never, ever, forget that.

From Maine Home Realty to you and yours, we wish you a Joyous Season and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2014!
