In January Bath’s Real Estate market saw a slight increase in inventory by 3 properties. This is still really low when comparing January 2016 which offered 56 available listings for buyers to view. If the snow melts early, sellers should really consider listing early this year due to the low inventory and the increase in buyer activity. Interest rates are still low for now giving buyers a greater buying power when getting approved for a loan. The signs are here for the snow to melt and be gone early, but, we just never know in Maine!!
January ended with 38 Current Listings (up 3 from December), 20 Pending Sales (up 1 from December), and 9 Closed Sales (down 2 from December). Average Sales Price to List Price Ratio was 95% for January, remaining the same from December.
Comparing Bath’s data for January 2017 with January 2016, this is what we see:
