Bath, Maine-July 2016 Real Estate Market Report

Visitor Center at the Restored Train Station in Bath ME sees 25,000 visitors per year

In July Bath’s Real Estate market really started to heat up! The inventory is slowing going down and the Pending Sales are increasing. While the Closed Sales decreased we would expect that number to rise in August with the flurry of activity seen here in the middle of the summer. The inventory has been cut in half from the summer of 2015! Bath is an excellent buy with allot of options for buyers big and small. If you are getting squeezed out of the Brunswick/Topsham market, give Bath a look to see if anything meets your needs.

July ended with 55 Current Listings  (down 10 from June),  39 Pending Sales (up 9 from June), and  17 Closed Sales in July (down 4 from June).   Average Sales Price to List Price Ratio came in at 95% for July, which is a decrease of almost 4 percent from June.

Comparing Bath’s data for July 2016 with July 2015, this is what we see:

  • July 2016 Current Listings – 55 vs 111 in July 2015
  • July 2016 Pending Sales – 39 vs. 19 in July 2015
