The calendar says it is still Fall, but along with the end of daylight savings time, Mother Nature has already given Maine a dose of cold and snow. The Southern Mid-Coast Region hasn’t been hit too badly with the fluffy white stuff . . . yet, but the temps are running about 10 degrees below normal. On a very dreary, cold, wet Monday, it seems like posting market reports is a fine indoor activity!
Bath saw a slight up-tick, over last month, for both Under Contract (19) and Closed Sales (10) in October, while Current Listings continue to dwindle as we approach the holiday season – there are 85 Current Listings (down from 88 last month).
Buyers looking for good value in Bath still have nice properties to view at all price points. The real estate market will be quieter for the next couple months, but Sellers who choose to keep their properties on the market during this time, will be rewarded with fewer viewings by only serious buyers, and reduced competition. Sounds good to us!
