Hello Friends,

As many of you know, 2016 brought new opportunities and many changes for my family, including leaving Maine (which we never thought we would ever do!), but I continued to have ownership and “presence” at Maine Home Realty.

Now, it is with mixed emotions that I have decided to “hang up” my real estate license at the end of this year.  With our move to Virginia, I continued to work with clients on a referral basis, with my fantastic business partner and friend, Jon, doing the heavy lifting for the last half of 2016.

For those who don’t know the story, Jon Leaver and I created Maine Home Realty in the still-depressed real estate market of 2011.  The company, for which we worked at the time, was consolidating its operations and closing its office in Bath.  We leapt, opening our own company, and many nets appeared.   It was our mission to deliver real estate brokerage services differently, and at a higher professional standard, than what we saw in the marketplace – – this was the singular driving force behind Maine Home Realty, and continues to be true today.  Our success could not have been achieved without the support (many nets!) of our families, friends, the amazing business community in Bath, lenders, home inspectors, closing professionals, fellow brokers and most of all the excellent, loyal clients, who trust us (sometimes over and over again) with one of their single largest investments.

I’ve experienced the joys and dramas of several different careers, coming to real estate somewhat later in the game.  Not knowing what the future holds right now, I feel like I will be hard-pressed, and very fortunate, if I can find a new vocation that will give me as much pleasure, challenge, and satisfaction as working with my real estate clients, many of whom I now count as friends.

Maine Home Realty will continue with Jon Leaver as its sole practitioner.  You may notice changes on the website and Facebook page, as all things must evolve, but be assured that the same values that drove our original mission will not change.  I hope that all my clients will continue to choose Maine Home Realty as their real estate brokerage of choice when the need or desire arises to buy or sell a property in the Southern Mid-Coast Region of Maine.

I will remember all of you fondly and hope that many of you will continue to stay in touch.
