As we head into Summer’s home stretch, the mornings are a little cooler and it feels like “back to school” is just around the corner. The leaves are just starting to turn color and drop from the “stressed” trees around Bath’s downtown. It’s also a time when we see many listings take price reductions in hopes of selling more quickly, even though July was plenty busy!
The Bath Real Estate Market saw a big jump in Active Listings from June to July, fewer Pending Sales, but more Closed Sales than in June. So, if you are an historic home lover ready to buy your own piece of history, Bath has more homes available right now for you to choose from!
July ended with 111 Current Listings (up 24 from June!), 19 Pending Sales (down 8 from June), and 17 Closed Sales in July (up 5 from June). We also saw Average Sales Price to List Price Ratio climb even higher to 98% in July.
If we compare July 2015 to July of 2014, Bath’s Summer Real Estate Selling Season is showing improvement: 111 Current Listings this July vs. 97 in 2014; 19 Pending Sales this July vs. 23 in 2014; and 17 Closed Sales this July is almost double last July’s Sales of 9! We’ll see how all of Summer shakes out next month when the August numbers are in.
